With thirty years in the high tech industry, Joe Rassenti has an unusually wide breadth of skills in both business and technical functions and an ability to “speak both languages”. During 14 years at Qualcomm, Inc, Rassenti served in multiple technical, business and operational roles for Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES), the division chartered with delivering wireless mobile workforce and machine-to-machine solutions for the enterprise. He served as Vice President of Engineering for QES where he was responsible for research, development and sustaining engineering for the division’s satellite and terrestrial wireless platforms, applications and services. He led a 300 person team composed of a diverse group of professionals including software, firmware, hardware, test and systems engineers, program managers and support personnel.

Other QES roles included VP, Communications, where he was responsible for all aspects of internal and external communications including marketing communications, PR, training services and technical publications as well as the Industry Remarket Program Manager responsible for managing business partner relationships. He also served on several M&A teams during both due diligence and post-acquisition integration phases.

Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Rassenti worked for IBM for 15 years where he served in multiple roles including manufacturing line manager, logistics project manager, and lead manufacturing planning engineer for IBM’s largest Manufacturing facility. He spent the latter years at IBM in “the field” as a Systems Engineer and senior technical Marketing Representative in the midrange computer sales division.

Rassenti, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona and currently lives in San Diego, California.
